Winter Packing List

I’m all about easily packable Winter gear so I’m going live with my picks on the blog. Including some important beauty products and how I use them to keep my skin healthy in cold weather!⁣

If we want to see some snow, we have to pack and prepare for it. Since we live in an area where it rarely drops below 60*, I try to pick the most versatile layering pieces to wear both here and in the cold mountains of California or Colorado. The picture above is fully shoppable except for these faux fur mittens I just bought to layer over my leather gloves. The flip top option made it easy to text with my leather gloves and kept be super warm and stylish.

As far as my skincare routine goes, I never go on the slopes without SPF on my face and lips! That means I don’t leave the house without the above Kiehl’s products. Click here for lips and face. At the end of the day, I use my Konjac sponge with some facial cleanser from Trader Joes to take the day off. With a wet face, I put a dab of argan oil (pick your fav brand) and use a reusable terry cloth to smooth it over your face.

Date Night Momiform

I’ve always had a thing for rock n roll style and I’m so glad it’s constantly in style with some unique twists every year. If you’re in a fashion rut, pick up a couple of the below items to mix and match with the rest of your wardrobe.
Date Night Momiform

Shoes: This past year cheetah/leopard print came back in a huge way. I snatched up these booties as soon they came out and I’m glad I did because they’re super comfy and stylish. I’ve linked one by the same designer here. It’s currently on sale! I’ve worn these heels too many times to count. They go with skirts and jeans and come in so many colorways.

Bottoms: are you team jeans or skirt? To me, nothing screams date night more than this red skirt but I usually default to denim. It’s on clearance now and comes in 2 colorways! Get it NOW. I’ve worn this skirt to concerts and have totally rocked it. These jeans are a closet staple and the fit is perfect!

Jackets: If you don’t currently have a faux leather jacket, consider this one. It has lasted me years and will always be relevant in the fashion world. It’s so versatile! I’ve posted about this fleece Amazon jacket so many times because I wear the hell out of it! It’s such a great price and I can officially say it can be thrown in the washing machine on delicate without being ruined!

Accessories: If you’re looking for a great one size fits all belt, check this brand out. They have some really cool options. I’ve also linked a more budget friendly option here. The double ring belt is an Amazon find under $10 linked here.

Nothing worse than questioning your path in life. That’s why I felt a little sad today when someone assumed I wasn’t as busy than my spouse. Yes, he works very hard and I’m proud of that! Just wishing people would be a little bit more considerate and mindful when commenting on the day-to-day of others.
Mom-Mode

Proud to be in full “mom mode” today with the many errands and chores I accomplished. Repped my pride with this shirt from Amazon. Also wearing my H initial necklace from 6thboroughboutique. Since I know you love a good sale – use my code RoxyHetz to get 15% off your purchase and 2 free items! My jeans are ripped (on purpose) and June doesn’t like it but you might so check them out here. They don’t sag and the length is great for any height. I’m petite and I didn’t have to hem, for some outfits I cuff the hem just once and it looks cool with the raw hem.

These superstars are decked out in our favorite brand for kids clothes. Their items are soft, inexpensive, and fit their size description accurately (which is super hard to find for toddlers).
Mom of Toddlers

Ken & June’s shirts are ON SALE and linked if you click on their name. I’ve also linked a similar organic cotton sweater in a different color from the same brand if you’re going for a slightly different feel.

Both of them have long and skinny legs so this brand is the right fit for them. Ken’s jeans come with an adjustable waist – awesome way to extend the life of them if you size up. June’s denim leggings came in a 2-pk at a great price!

Post-Workout Momiform
I try my best to dress up a little bit after I leave the gym. I’ve never been a “live in sweatpants” all day kind of gal. I completely support it but honestly, I’m still tired if I’m not wearing make-up and denim. So here is my attempt at being comfortable, warm, and stylish! Hope you enjoy 😋.

Top is from Nordstrom. The textured sweater is very much so in style right now. Get on board with this one while it’s still on sale! Pants are Madewell and I talk all about my love for them in the below post. Stay hydrated and look fancy after your workout with this Swell bottle. I don’t have much more to say about this outfit other than it’s my go-to.

Sunny LA Momiform
Today’s momiform was motivated by the new place I call home. After moving here without any job prospects, I found myself eyeing up the many beautiful local boutiques for work. I have experience in retail from my high-school and college years and, with my degree in Business Management, I was able to score a pretty sweet gig as an assistant manager for an LA based designer’s boutique in Manhattan Beach.

Outfit details take me to the reason why it’s an LA inspired outfit… Sweater is from Trina Turk, an LA based designer who also has production in the state. It’s older so it is unfortunately not linkable but check out her page anyway! She’s known for some great prints. Top is Anine Bing. There aren’t enough words for how much I’ve fallen in love with her t-shirts especially this one. They are amazing quality, print does not fade, and are so comfortable! I’ve worn them day-to-night, no problem! AND again, her designs come out of LA. Shoes are from Vans and y’all know all about their surf/skate culture so obviously I associate this dreamt-up-in-Cali based company with my home sweet home. My exact shoes aren’t for sale but a very similar pair is linked here. My pants are by Madewell and the main reason I’ve fallen in love with them because I’ve finally found a nicely made Petite pair of jeans that don’t ride up my crotch and I didn’t have to hem! Check them out here. They’re on sale!!

It’s Sunny Outside Momiform

My sunglasses are being held up by a metal chain! If that doesn’t scream “momiform”, I don’t know what does.

A couple of weeks ago, I was complaining to a sales rep at Sunglass Hut that my shades were constantly falling off when I’d lean over to pick up my kids. Well – in comes a fellow blogger BasicBrokeChic to confirm that you can be both stylish and practical with these chains! I’m trying to get better with accessorizing so I picked up this felt fedora to help my outfit go from boring to extra. I also bought this initial necklace from 6thboroughboutique and wear it every day! If you love it as much as I do, use my code RoxyHetz to get 15% off your purchase.

As for the rest of the outfit, the weather report was calling for temps in the low 60s but since I haven’t had faith in their accuracy lately so I made sure to layer a basic white t-shirt with a fun moto jacket that I’ve paired with both heels & sneaks. June didn’t lecture me about my torn denim today – I think she’s given up (a lot like my mom…). Last but definitely not least, my sneakers went from my morning workout to my day wear and I think they look hot!

Spent a few days in freezing temps this week with the family. Momiform game still strong in the snow. We spent the days walking around town and shredding the gnar (I know, I’m a kook, whatever).

Along with my warm and cozy outfit to wear around town, I got to show off my new ski jacket and base layers courtesy of Santa Claus. Kept me warm no matter how windy it got! So excited to share these items with you! For a budget friendly option on the Bogner jacket below, check out this similar item from Athleta. I tried both on and the Athleta one was warm and stylish. I chose the Bogner one to match my pants from last season. I’ve linked their updated version here.

Check out the items I packed below and click the text on the pic for link to purchase. For more outfit details, follow me on LIKEtoKNOW.it or my Instagram page!

Sunday Funday Momiform

This weekend’s outfit is motivated by two things – Taking long walks to get to the beach and my favorite football team. We live a bit over a mile from the Pier (“downtown” where all of the shops & restaurants are located) so we try our best to get down there by foot often. I’ve been testing out these new sneakers for a couple of weeks and I can happily confirm that not only are they super comfortable, but they are stylish and versitile! If you’re familiar with my workout routine, I do a lot of weight lifting and these hold up to the gym test. I can not recommend them for running because I don’t go above 4mph. My sweater is no longer available but I found a top with a similar fun theme on Target’s site and the popular Spanx faux leather leggings on everybody’s list is there for good reason. If you’re a shorty like myself, do yourself a favor and order the petite. I didn’t see that option available when I bought mine and they’re slightly baggy at the knees.

Happy shopping & I hope you find the “Sunday Momiform” just for you!

Friday Errands Momiform

We were out and about all day today so I decided to style my new Christmas gifts. I’ve been searching for a cute initial necklace and I’m glad I discovered this one. If you like it as much as I did, use my code roxyhetz to shop their site 15% off and receive a free gift!

My coat is from Amazon and is lightweight enough for the SoCal weather but still cozy enough to keep you warm. It would be so easy to pack and goes with an endless amount of outfits.

School Pickup Momiform

“I’m not like a regular mom, I’m a cool mom.” I usually put on jeans after a workout and really, why? So now I’m on the hut for athleisure that still says “school pick up momiform” but make it fashion. You know?

These joggers from Twenty won my heart and make momming a little more stylish. My go-to faux leather jacket is from last season but they do recreate it every year. I found a similar one for you on sale at Nordstrom! Last but not least, my shoes are so comfy for cardio training AND still nice to look at. Super lightweight and comfortable. Plus – THEY’RE ON SALE! WOO.
